Norma Frances (Hamel) Finn of Westford, MA WESTFORD -- Mrs. Norma F. (Hamel) Finn of Westford, MA died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Lowell General Hospital.A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She was married for 57 years to the late Mr. Edward J. Finn who passed away in October of 2000.Born in Lowell, MA on November 16, 1924, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lauretta (Gouin) Hamel. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1941; Norma also earned her Real Estate License.Norma was a leader and volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America. She loved cooking, and enjoyed traveling. Norma wintered in Largo, Florida for many years, and enjoyed summers at York Beach, Maine. She was most happy spending quality time with her family and friends.Mrs. Finn was a faithful communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in N. Chelmsford.She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Robert Lacombe of Groton, three sisters, Eleanor Welcome of Dracut, Ruth Byam of Chelmsford, and Joan Peterson of Texas, six cherished grandchildren, Robert Lacombe, Dennis Lacombe, Kerri Hilberg, Sheli Finn-Denman, Melinda Taylor, Edward Finn III, twenty great-grandchildren, a grandson-in-law, Carl Slack, as well as many nieces, nephews and several close family friends.Norma was predeceased by her son, Edward J. Finn II of Westford who died in August of 2006, and her granddaughter, Brenda Slack.FINN -- Norma F. (Hamel) Finn of Westford died June 6, 2011. Visiting hours Thursday 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral Friday at 8 a.m. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. at St. John's Church, N. Chelmsford.
