Davis, Norma BanningJuly 27, 2008Norma Banning Davis, age 87, formerly of Sarasota, passed away July 27, 2008, at her home in Marianna, Fla. She was born in Richmond, Ind., and moved to Sarasota in 1966. Norma retired in 1983 from Loral Data Systems of Sarasota after 15 years as executive secretary. She and her husband, Richard, moved from Sarasota to Marianna in June 2004.Survivors are her husband, Richard G. Davis; a son, Terry L. Banning, and his wife, Valerie, of Alford, Fla., formerly of Sarasota; grandson, Jordan Hawley of Sarasota; her sister, Joyce Miller; niece, Dianna Miller; and son, Christopher, all of Richmond, Ind.; and her nephew, Randy Barnes of Brenham, Texas.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.Byrd Funeral Home, Dothan, Ala., is in charge of arrangements.
