Norma Anderson, née en 1936, conjointe de Clifford Wakefield, fille de Arvid et Svea, mère de Teri et Christine, est décédée le 7 novembre 2008 à l'âge de 72 ans.
WAKEFIELD, Norma 2008-11-10 Mrs. Norma Wakefield, age 72 years, a resident of East Avenue, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, November 7, 2008. Born in 1936, Norma grew up in the city, working for a number of years in the laundry department of the Port Arthur General Hospital. After she married her husband Clifford in 1955, Norma devoted her life to raising her family. An avid bowler with countless trophies, she loved to play bingo and, in later years, enjoyed going to camp at Arrow Lake where she had many happy memories. As well, she was a very skilled singer and guitarist. Norma will be sadly missed by her daughters Teri (Dan) Baxter, Christine (Roger) Yurick and Kelly (Norm) Clement; grandchildren: David, Keith and Brian Malette, Billy Baxter, Julie Bernard, Tammy Cameron, David Baxter, Richard, Ryan and Russell Yurick, Jason and Lea Clement; 12 great grandchildren; siblings: Helen (Graham) Avery, Ruth (Cliff) Billard, Len (Marg) Anderson, and Larry (Irene) Anderson. Numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives also survive. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford in 1996, parents Arvid and Svea Anderson, and by sisters Vera Hovey and Shirley Smith. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Pastor Allan Piper of Westfort Baptist Church. Interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Norma‘s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one‘s choice.
