Nora Elsie was born on April 4, 1922 in Fisher River. She was a very loving mother and grandmother, treasuring the time she spent with her family. Mom was an anchor in our lives and was always ready to help us when we needed it. She opened her heart and home to everybody she met. She was a good friend and like the mom she was, she wanted to make sure everyone was safe and well. We will remember Mom for how dedicated a daughter she was to our granny, Mary Jane; taking care of her for a number of years before Granny passed away. She enjoyed knitting, reading, visiting with her friends, telling stories, listening to gospel music, berry-picking in earlier days and really enjoyed the times when she went out traveling with her children. Mom accepted the Lord as her personal Savior - looking to the Lord for strength and peace in her last days. Mom - give Dad a hug for us. Our love goes with you as your love stays with us. Out dear sweet Mom - you will be in our hearts forever. The family acknowledges special grandson Darren Stevenson for looking after Gran Nora and Mosoom Johnny. We love you and thank you for taking care of Mom and Dad and for staying with Gran Nora after Dad passed on. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cecile Andreas and the staff of Percy E. Moore Hospital, Lana Huta and Pam Crate of Fisher River Health Services Home Care, the staff of Fisher River Personal Care Home, Beverley and Alec Sinclair for their support and sitting with Mom and the family, Joe Garson and Isaac Cochrane for their prayers. The care and love given to our Mom is deeply appreciated.
