TUSCALOOSA Nettie Ruth Hill, age 89, of Tuscaloosa, formerly of Reform, died Feb. 5, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Stansel Baptist Church with Rev. Milton Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhill Memorial Gardens in Reform with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence R. "Larry" Hill; her daughter, Ann Hill; her parents; and her sister, Hazel "Dickie" Clayton.Survivors include her sons, Harry Hill (Blanche) of Woodstock, Ala. and Chuck Hill of Athens, Ala., and her grandson, Matthew Hill.Mrs. Hill was born November 20, 1923, in Millport, Alabama to the late Jack Burns and Ila Fields Burns. She was a retired accountant, a homemaker, and a well known resident of Pickens County.Pallbearers will be Bryan Gault, Ron Miller, Ben Simpson, Matthew Hill, Steve Johnson, and Jeremy Wright.Honorary pallbearers are Herbert Latham and Ralph Gault.
