Nellie J. Warfle Age 92, of Episcopal Church Home, Rochester, N.Y., formerly of Wellsboro, Pa., died September 18, 2002 in Rochester, N.Y. She was the wife of the late Irving Warfle who died July 5, 1962 and the late Gilbert Wright who died February 20, 1974. Nellie was born September 25, 1909 in Lawrence Township, Pa., the daughter of the late Lafayette and Alice Cole Thomas. She was a retired Registrar of Vital Statistics for the State of Pennsylvania, a member of the Wellsboro United Methodist Church, and Member and Past Matron Mary Wells Chapter #452 O.E.S. Wellsboro, Pa. Surviving are son, Hugh M. Warfle, Geneva, N.Y.; step-son, Walter Wright, Webster, N.Y.; step-daughter, Violet Cantin, Webster, N.Y.; sister, Gertrude Kirk, Bath, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Cathi (Joe) Waliwork, Stephen (Suzanne) Warfle, Sharon (Leonard) Grugel, Marianne (Dave) Warfle, Matthew Malani, and Nicole (John) Ott; fourteen great grandchildren. Friends may call at the United Methodist Church, Wellsboro, Pa. on Saturday, September 21, 2002 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Funeral to follow at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mark Shover officiating. An Eastern Star Service will be held Saturday at 10:30 A.M. at the Church. Burial in Addison Rural Cemetery, Addison, N.Y.
