Nellie S. Brenneman Morgan, of Elizabethtown, passed from this earth Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at her home. She was born Aug. 30, 1938, and was 73 years old.She was the daughter of the late Marcus and Susan (Spicer) Stidham. She was a member of Heaven Bound Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school and Bible school teacher for years and a church clerk. She was president of the Junior Sewing Group of Accident, Md.She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ellis Morgan; her parents; six sisters, Eliza Jane, Betty Ellen, Rosie, Lillie, Stella and Mae; two brothers, Oscar and John Larry; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Samuel and Andrew.She is survived by two sons, Delatha (Betty) Brenneman of Elizabethtown and Charles (Diana) Brenneman of Accident, Md.; a daughter, Charottle (Charles) Resh of Eureka, Mont.; a stepson, Charles E. Morgan of Radcliff; a stepdaughter, Joanne Curren of Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren, Hadley Resh, Elizabeth Williams of Montana, Crystal of North Dakota, Jonathan (and his fiancee, Jessica Ketner) of North Dakota, Marcus Brenneman of Elizabethtown and Isaac and Rachelle of Accident; 11 great-grand-children, James, Krisy, Hannah, Thomas, Rain, Cassy, Samuel, Jasmine, Rose, Star and River; six sisters, Mary Miller and Marie Damon, both of Delaware, Barbara Howard of Hazard, Beulah Ruth Barnett and Patricia Sue Moore, both of Clayhole, and Pauline Haddix of Dwarf; and two brothers, Mark Stidham Jr. of Clayhole and Sam M. Stidham of Indiana.A graveside service is at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens with Dr. Gary Sharp officiating. Expressions of Sympathy may take the form of contributions to the family. Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
