Nell Smith Jordan, 86, of 201 High Valley Blvd., Greenville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002. Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Bessie Darnell Smith, and was the widow of William D. Jordan. She was a retired nurse with the Blackmon Register and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a sister, Neva Fisher, of Greenville; two brothers, John Smith of Beaverdam, N.Y., and Carl Smith of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be tonight, from 6:30 to 8, at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Services will be held Thursday, at the graveside, at Bethuel Baptist Church Cemetery, at 1:30 p.m. The family is at the residence: 201 High Valley Blvd., Greenville.
