MACHIASPORT - Nancy Wood, 69, passed away Feb. 10, 2008, at Marshall Healthcare Facility, Machias, after a brief illness with cancer. She was born May 22, 1938, in Machias, to Anna (Clark) Reeves and Paul Reeves of Machias. Nancy was a very loving and caring person. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spending time on her deck overlooking the ocean. Her favorite times were family summer vacations at Camp Frederick. Nancy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lewis Wood Sr.; as well as daughter, Irene and husband, Joe Berry; son, Lewis Wood Jr. and wife, Louisa; grandchildren, Dawn and Kenneth Link, Crystal and George Ingrish, Kandi and John House, and Brandon Wood; great-grandchildren, Haylee and Caitlyn Link, Ryley and Harley Ingrish, John and Russell House; sisters, Betsy Flood, Susie and husband, Clayton Wood, and Mary and husband, Newell White; several nieces and nephews. Nancy's wish was to have no funeral services. There will be a small get together for family and friends noon-2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Kay Parker Building, across from Dr. Dorr's office.
