AUGUSTA, Ga. - Beloved wife and friend of Lowell Thomas "Tommy" Harris of sixteen years, entered into rest at Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center on Friday, February 1, 2008 after an extended illness. She was 66 years of age. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road with Reverend Frank Barker officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Born Nancy Belle Reese on February 26, 1941 in Wrens, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Emma Reese. She was preceded in death by her first husband of thirty-two years, the late Vernon C. Weathers, Sr. She is survived by four brothers, Marvin Reese and David Reese, both of Wrens, James Reese of Augusta and Artemus Reese of Greer, S.C.; one sister, Elizabeth Windham of Waynesboro, Ga.; mother of four children, Vonda Weathers Richards (Gene) of Cleveland, Ga., Vernon Carl Weathers (Martie) of N. Augusta, S.C., Martha Renee Shuler (Bubba) of Augusta, Ga., and David Alton Weathers (Heather) of Augusta; ten grandchildren, Donna Lynn, Michaela Rossi, Nicole Rossi, Evan Richards, Philip Weathers, Christopher Weathers, Joseph Weathers, Ashley Weathers, and Vernon Weathers; five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and family members by marriage, too many to acknowledge here but she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 4, 2008 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road.
