->Nancy VanBuskirkHyde Park - Nancy VanBuskirk, 56, a 40 year resident of Hyde Park, NY, and formerly of Utica NY., passed away on January 12, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. Born on August 7, 1955 in Utica, NY she was the daughter of Alfred Jurkowski and Michelina Desimone-Jurkowski. Nancy graduated from F.D.Roosevelt High School in 1975. Nancy worked as a housekeeper at Cardinal Hayes and the Village Inn. She was also employed as a Front end bagger with Shop-Rite and Stop n Shop in Hyde Park. In January 1975 Nancy married Henry J. VanBuskirk in Hyde Park, NY. Nancy is survived by her longtime companion Doug Ogden of Hyde Park and her mother Michelina, Nancy is also survived by her daughters Jennifer VanBuskirk and girlfriend Lori Meddaugh of Poughkeepsie; Susan Taylor and boyfriend Stephen Alvarez of Kingston, NY; Son in law Donald Taylor Jr. of Staatsburg, NY; Six Grandchildren, Donna Taylor, Skyler VanBuskirk, Vanessa Alvarez and Dallas, Steven and Kevin Meddaugh; Brothers Alfred Jurkowski and wife Nancy of Lake Katrine, Thomas Jurkowski and wife Val of Staatsburg, NY and Eric Jurkowski of Hyde Park, NY; Sisters Judy Morgida and husband Mark of Alabama, Cynthia Jurkowski and companion Wendy of Hyde Park, NY, Jane Scaccia and husband Todd of Hyde Park, NY; in-laws Mary and Donald Taylor of Hyde Park, NY. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and sister in laws Virgina, Ethel, Arlene, Terry and Joan, Lee VanBuskirk and June. Brother in laws John, Ralph, Frankie, Alan, Richard and Chucky. Nancy enjoyed cook outs, family gatherings, her grandchildren, arts and crafts and was an avid bowling. Calling Hours will be held Friday January 20, 2012 from 8pm to 9pm at the Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, Inc. 39 South Hamilton Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (845)452-1840.
