PORTSMOUTH — Nancy I. (Staples) Rogers, 80, of Portsmouth, died Monday, June 27, 2011, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, N.H.She was born in Portsmouth on Sept. 5, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Scott Staples Sr. and Gertrude Staples.Prior to her retirement, Nancy was employed for AT & T (Bell).She was predeceased by her husband, Harry G. Rogers, in 2003. Nancy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Scott B. Staples and wife, Kathleen, of Orlando, Fla., Debora Warner of Berwick, Maine, and her companion, Joe Flanagan, Elizabeth Staples of New Port Richey, Fla., Dwight Staples and wife, Paula, of Hampton, N.H., and Linda Mae Sprague of Rochester, N.H.Memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home - Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, with a memorial service following at 11 a.m. Friends are invited.
