WOOD, Nancy P., went to be with her Lord February 11, 2009. She was born April 13, 1918, in Chatham, Ontario Canada, moved to northwest Florida in 1955, and became a resident of Oldsmar in 1961. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Leo Claud Wood. She is survived by three children; son, Richard (Johanna) of Oldsmar, and two daughters, Betty Aki (William) of The Eagles and Sandra Engles of Palm Harbor; two sisters, Beatrice Pickering and Myrtle Dawson, both of Canada; half sister, Ilene Wolfe of Canada; two sisters-in-law, Simone Wood and Margaret Warren, both of Canada; four grandsons, William L Aki III (Linda) of Golden , Colo., Dale Aki (Pam) of Palmer, Alaska, Brian Aki (Tracy) of Waipahu, Hawaii, and Keith Aki (Michele) of Juneau, Alaska; three granddaughters, Mary Lowery (Johnny) of New Port Richey, Linda Ranger (John) of Port Richey and Jodi Rushing (Rick) of Mayfield, Ky.; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life is scheduled for 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, with viewing from 6-7 p.m. at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 11005 U.S. Highway 301 N. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations by given to The Hospice of Florida Suncoast or to the Community of Christ of Clearwater.
