Nancy O. Henderson May 16, 1957 - January 23, 2012 Plainfield - Nancy O. Henderson, 54, of 163 Goshen Rd. Moosup beloved wife of Edward P. Henderson passed away Monday as the result of an automobile accident. She was born May 16, 1957 in New London a daughter of the late Norman and Hannah (Stark) Oates and had lived in Moosup for the past two and a half years. She was employed as a housing director at Reliance House in Norwich for the past 25 years. Nancy had always lived for her family. Besides her husband she leaves a daughter Jessica R. Darnell and her boy friend Joshua Maynard of Moosup, a son, John H. Darnell and his wife Stacey of FL; five grandchildren Athena, Angelise, Micah, Kylie and Avery; four brothers Norman Oates of Vernon, William Oates of CA., John Oates of Griswold and Phillip Oates of RI; two sisters Sandra Graziano of FL. and Ruth Oates of Groton. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are Saturday from 2:30-5:00 P.M. at Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a fund for the education of Nancy's grandchildren.
