Nancy Maxine Skeen Edwards, 63, Quail Ridge Road, Henrico, N.C., died Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, in Orlando. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 21, at Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, N.C., at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Marshall officiating. She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Mildred High Skeen, brother, Bobby Skeen, and sister, Louise Cannon. Survivors include her husband, Louis R. Edwards Sr., Henrico; sons, Vincent M. Edwards and wife Wanda, Henrico, Louis R. Edwards Jr., and fiancée, Laura, Roanoke Rapids, Tony W. Edwards and wife Sandy, Nashville, N.C., and Alan L. Edwards and wife Mary, Roanoke Rapids; her sister, Grace Moseley and husband Jerry, Roanoke Rapids; grandchildren, Emily Edwards and Ricky Edwards and wife, April; great-grandchildren, Rylan Edwards; and all her many friends in Astor, Fla. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a longtime employee of J.P. Stevens, Kmart, and co-founder of Edwards Brothers Transmission.
