FOREST -->Nancy Logan Edwards FOREST CITY, NC-- Nancy Malena Logan Edwards, 92, cherished wife of the late Gilmer Allen Edwards Sr., and devoted and loving mother of five children passed away Saturday August 2, 2008 at Hospice of Rutherford County. Born June 11, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Minnie Logan. She was a graduate of Asheville Normal Women's College and taught elementary school for 38 years while raising her five children at the family farm in Rutherfordton, NC. She was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Allen Edwards of Knoxville, TN and his wife, Norma; four daughters, Rebecca Barrier of Summerville, SC and her husband, Jimmy, Diann Teague of Lancaster, SC and her husband, Wade, Susan E. Crocker of Greenville, SC and her husband, Mark, and Lesa Banks of Spartanburg, SC and her husband, Kelly. In addition, she was the proud grandmother of ten grandchildren, Krista Barrier Rudolph, Jason Barrier, Ryan Teague, Blake Teague, Nancy Teague, Paige Edwards Dismuke, Gil Edwards, Hailey Crocker, Laura Banks, and Grant Banks and twelve great-grandchildren. In addition she is survived by a brother John Logan of Morganton. The funeral service will be held on Monday August 4, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, 2869 Hudlow Road, Forest City, NC 28043. The family will receive friends following the service.
