Nancy Lewis, 88, Cortez and formerly of Sarasota and Manatee County, died July 23, 2003. She was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Sirmens, came to Manatee County in 1937 from Sarasota and moved to Cortez in 1946. She was a homemaker and a Christian. She attended Tate's Creek School in Sarasota. Survivors include a son, Dr. Joseph B. Crawford of Bradenton; a sister, Agnes Edwards of Sarasota; a brother, Bill Langford of Naples; seven grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 26th Street Chapel. The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Palmetto.
