FITCHBURG -- Nancy L. (LaQuire) McClellan, 68, of 581 Stickney Road, died Saturday, Sept. 25, in her home after an illness. She was born on June 12, 1936, in Fitchburg, the daughter of Claude and Juanita (Cross) LaQuire, and lived here in Fitchburg all of her life. Mrs. McClellan was a nurse’s aide for many years at several area nursing homes. She had retired in 1998 from the Laidlaw School Bus Co., where she had been a driver. She enjoyed knitting and reading, sang in a local chorus and spent much time giving special attention to her special friend, Abby. She had attended Christ Church in Fitchburg. Mrs. McClellan leaves her husband of 43 years, Joseph H. McClellan; her daughter, Dawn C. Rousseau, and her husband, Joseph S. Rousseau of Fitchburg; her special friend, Abby; two grandsons, Bryan Levanti and Kiel Levanti, both of Orange; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her sister, Juanita M. LaQuire, who died in 1991. MCCLELLAN -- On Sept. 25, Nancy L. (LaQuire) McClellan, 68, of Fitchburg. Funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The family suggests that instead of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the St. Joseph’s Home, PO Box 288, Jersey City, NJ 07303-0288. The Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., Fitchburg, is directing the family with arrangements.
