CLYDE- Mrs. Nancy L. Horton, 58, of Route 414 North, died Sunday (March 13, 2011) at Newark Wayne Community Hospital following an extended illness.At her request there will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services at 10 a.m. on Friday (March 18) in Rose Cemetery, Rose. Wesley Reed will officiate.Contributions in her memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.Mrs. Horton was born on March 19, 1952 in Lyons, the daughter of Eugene and Laura Fehr Merithew. She had been a resident of Clyde for over 35 years. Nancy had retired from the Parker-Hannifin Corporation in Clyde with over 30 years of service. She was married to the late Herbert A. Horton Jr., who predeceased her on April 9, 2006.Although her hobbies were many and varied, her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grand-child.Surviving are her son, Michael Horton of Clyde; her daughters: Pamela (Chuck) Miller of Corning, Jacqueline Burt of Silverton, Ore., Karin Horton of Geronimo, Okla. and Anita Horton of Clyde; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; her brothers: Frances (Crystal) Merithew of Rock Hill, S.C., Henry (Cathy) Merithew of Rome and Lawrence Merithew of Seneca Falls; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baris Funeral of Clyde.For online condolences and more information, please visit: www.barisfuneralhome.com.
