Nancy Kathleen Miller of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008. She was born March 23, 1948, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Louis and Mary Berg. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Richard Berg. She moved to Springfield at the age of six and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1966. She worked for twenty-one years at EDCO and she was a member of St. Agnes Cathedral. She was a devoted grandmother, loved animals, and loved fishing with her husband. She is survived by her husband Steven Eugene Miller of Springfield; one daughter Sheri Mitchell and husband John of Fredericksburg, Va., two step sons, Chris Miller of Springfield, and Michael Gisi of Kansas; one step daughter Melody Miller of Poplar Bluff, Mo., two brothers, Michael Berg and Vincent Berg; and one sister Regina Nixon. She is also survived by four grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Father Thomas Reidy, celebrant under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Burial will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
