Nancy J. Dennis Lakes of Four Seasons Nancy J. Dennis, age 60, of Lakes of Four Seasons, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2007. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Larry Dennis, of LOFS; three children: Melissa Dennis of Appleton, WI, Peter Dennis of Phoenix, AZ and Stephanie Dennis of LOFS; two brothers: James (Rebecca) Powers of Jackson, MI and Edward (Andrea) Powers of Atlanta, GA; three sisters: Peggy (Richard) O'Neal of Harverster, MO, Patricia Powers of Peoria, IL and Teresa (Thomas) Baumann of Cincinnati, OH; mother-in-law, Isabelle Dennis of Mason City, IL; sister-in-law, Diane (Daniel) Schingel of Murphysboro, IL; stepmother, Rita Powers of Cincinnati, OH; and many other loving nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceded in death by her parents: Theodore and Helen Powers. Nancy was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Valparaiso and was a teacher in the Gary Diocese for 18 years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 9:15 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 10101 Broadway, Crown Point, IN, going to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 509 W. Division Road, Valparaiso, IN for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Cremation at the Burns Funeral Home Crematory will follow the funeral service. Friends may visit with the family at Burns Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Organization for Rare Disorders www.rarediseases.org/helping/donate.
