EXETER - Nancy H. Anderson died June 14, 2013, at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont. Nancy was raised in Haverhill, Mass., and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1952. She moved to Brentwood in 1963 and lived there until moving to Exeter in 1975. She worked for the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood for 30 years, first as an LNA, then after her retirement as the switchboard operator. She was very devoted to the residents at the home and considered them part of her family. She was a member of the Tuesday morning bowling club at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. She was also involved in the Brentwood Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years. Nancy loved to knit afghans and always had a smile on her face. Nancy was Rockingham County Nursing Home's employee of the year in 1991 and Rockingham County's employee of year in 1992. Family members include a daughter, Diane G. Page of Fremont; two sons, Steven H. Riel of Lee and James R. Riel of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; a brother, F. Bruce Anderson of Kingston; a sister, Barbara J. Watts of Hingham, Mass. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and her special friend, Paul Heffernan of Newton. . services: A memorial service in her honor will be held at the Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood (at the corner of Route 125 and North Road) on Saturday, June 29, at 1 p.m. Per family's request, there will be no calling hours.
