SUTHERLAND, Nancy Elizabeth (nee McGill). Nancy left us on May 13, in her seventy-eighth year after an epic three year fight with ovarian cancer and all its complications. She was one tough lady and there was no quit in her. Nancy was the beloved wife and best friend of Hector, the mother of Linda, Colin (Vanessa), Anne, Brian and Jane (Shawn). She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Devon and Keith Sutherland; Lindsey and Jenna Carter. Sister to Isabel Cameron and John McGill. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held later in the week. A memorial "foundation" in Nancy's name is being established and contributions can be sent to: Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Queens University, Kingston K7L 3N6 c/o Dr. John F. Jeffrey, Associate Dean, Clinical. All donations will be acknowledged and follow-up reports will be sent. Our sincere thanks go to Dr. Jeffrey and his team at Kingston General and the Regional Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Team at St Vincents in Brockville were, to put it mildly, unbelievable. Finally recognition and thanks must go to Camille Butcher, Nancy's outstanding home care nurse.
