Fletcher, Nancy E. LATHAM Nancy E. Fletcher, beloved wife of Frederick Fletcher Sr. for 56 blessed years, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's, with her loving family by her side. Born in Troy on December 2, 1926, Nancy was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Ella F. Hughes. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1944. She then went on to graduate from the St. Peter's School of Nursing as a registered nurse. Nancy was employed as a nurse supervisor for over 25 years for the Cohoes Memorial Hospital, a position from which she retired from in 1991. She was a past member of the St. Ambrose Women's Club and the Latham Community Players. A Latham resident since 1952, Nancy was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. Survivors in addition to her husband are her beloved children, Deborah Fletcher of Latham, Frederick J. (Nicole) Fletcher MD of Loudonville, Peter D. (Sharon) Fletcher of Waterford and John H. Fletcher of Latham; and her seven cherished grandchildren Brady, Maxwell, Joseph, Alysse, Hillary, Holly and David Fletcher. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce (Tom) Murnane of Delmar; and her brother-in-law, Robert Fletcher. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, May 1 at 9:00 from the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham and at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, where Nancy's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Geoffrey Burke. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Entombment will take place at Memory's Garden Mausoleum in Colonie.
