Nancy (Conklin) Carter November 28, 2010 Nancy (Conklin) Carter, 65, of Geddes, passed away Sunday at home with her beloved companion, her dog Lily, by her side. Born and raised in Liverpool, Nancy lived in North Syracuse until moving to Geddes over a year ago. She was a 1963 graduate of Liverpool High School. She retired in 2006 from RMSCO, Inc. Nancy was a 4 1/2-year breast cancer survivor. She loved all her pets and the beach. She was devoted to her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Nancy was predeceased by her son, Scott, in 2010; mother, Eleanor, in 2003; and father, Alenson, in 2004. Surviving are her daughters, Tammy Carter-Kinney (Emmett) of Westvale and Connie Tracy of Camillus; grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Kyle, Megan, Ben and Elizabeth; sister, Susan (Robert) Kilfoyle of Liverpool; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Carter of Fulton; niece, Terri Richardson; nephew, Stephen Goodnough; and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Nancy will be laid to rest in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Assn. of CNY, 4915 1/2 W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.
