Nancy Anne Davis, 62 FREEPORT -- Nancy Anne Davis, 62, died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at home after a long and courageous struggle with diabetes. She was a longtime resident of Freeport. She was a graduate of Freeport High School and attended Ricker College in Houlton. She worked for Key Bank for over 30 years holding a variety of positions, from teller to a management position. She retired in her early fifties due to corporate restructuring. She was a 25-year member of the Freeport Lioness Club holding the offices of president, vice-president, and treasurer. She was a Melvin Jones Fellowship Award recipient. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at nearby Winslow Park. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Evelyn Davis; and her brother, Paul Davis. She is survived by her sisters, Arlene Litchfield and her husband Robert of Pownal and Janice Fournier and her companion John Card of Freeport; nieces and nephews, Barbara Skelton and her husband Stephen McPheters, whom Nancy shared a home with for the past 20 years, Dean Litchfield of Mechanic Falls, Anne Litchfield of Brunswick, Gary Davis and his wife Colleen of Leominster, Mass., Jeffrey Skelton of California, and Bonnie Williams and her fiancé Patrick Myles of Freeport; and several great-nieces and nephews; her best friend, Martha Daly and her husband Duncan of Freeport and their children, Tracy Harris, Melissa Bowie, Sarah and Tom Daly; and numerous lifelong friends. Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 11, at First Parish Church Congregational, UCC, 40 Main St., Freeport, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday.
