HARLESS, NELLIE MAE of Hueytown, AL, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Hueytown where she was the organist for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam A. Harless, Jr.; her brothers, Cecil, Robert, Curtis and Carl Ponder; and her sister, Louise Barganier. She is survived by her son, Sam A. Harless, III; several nieces, nephews and extended loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Hueytown Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Al Geise and Rev. Jimmy Hayes officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. >
