Myrtle Ballenger Corbin Lee, 96, widow of B.F. Lee, died February 16, 2008, at Greenville Living Center. She was predeceased by her first husband, Leo Neil Corbin, father of her four children.She was born October 21, 1911, in Spartanburg county, daughter of the late Alberry Munson and Pearl Maltida Pace Ballenger. She attended Greenville Women's College (Furman) and later became a school teacher. She taught in several upstate rural schools. She later became a librarian with the Greenville County Library system with which she drove a bookmobile. Mrs. Lee later was employed by North Greenville College, where she worked in the library. Mrs. Lee retired as Post Mistress for the college. She was a charter member of Tigerville Baptist Church and also a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Betty Corbin of Greenville and Steve and Gayle Corbin of Greer; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Mike Sprouse of Gaffney and Betty and Dee Smith of Greenville; two sisters, Jean Davis of Spartanburg and Dorothy Hurley of Clemson; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Alan and Stacy Corbin, Cheryl and Rocky Dreibrodt, Stephen and Paula Sprouse, David and Jocelyn Sprouse, Mickey and Heather Corbin, Jennifer and Mike Coffin, John Smith, Craig Smith, Stacy and Marybeth Smith and Randall Smith; and twelve great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tigerville Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Bobby Joyner and Rev. Carroll Leopard. Burial will follow in Tyger Baptist Church cemetery.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Visitation will be held at 6-8 p.m. Monday at Wood Mortuary, 300 West Poinsett Street, Greer, SC 29650.The family is at the home of the son, Steve Corbin, 531 Haven Drive, Greer, SCOnline condolences may be made at www.thewoodmortuary.com
