CARTER Myrtle Carter, 99, passed away February 24th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was a native of Statesboro, Ga. and had lived in Jacksonville from 1926 until 2002. She was a long time member of Main Street Baptist Church, The Springfield Women's Club, and was retired from J.G. Christopher Co. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Milton Carter, and brothers, Fred, Bobby, Buster, Heyward, and sister Nannie Minton. She is survived by nephews Carroll Miller (Mary), Ralph Miller (Virginia), Clifton Miller (Barbara), Robert J. Minton, Joel Miller (Mary), and nieces June Hammonds (Fred), and Janis Wilson (Mickey), many great and great great nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4th at 11 A.M. in Evergreen Cemetery (enter thru gate #2) with Rev. Rob Loy officiating under the direction of George H.
