CARTER _ Myrtle Bowler 1915 - 2006 Myrtle Bowler Carter, beloved wife of Albert Reginald Carter of sixty-six years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 9, 2006 at the age of 90 years. She was the devoted mother of Rosalie (David) Kiddle, Richard (Carolyn) Carter, Beverley (Alan) LeBaron; grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and great-grandmother of thirty-two great-grandchildren. Myrtle is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Bowler and Valerie Bowler, and a number of nieces and nephews, all in England. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Carrie Turner Bowler, and a sister Laura Cain. Myrtle was born in Loughborough, Leics, England, and immigrated to Canada with her husband and children in 1948, settling first in Cardston, AB and then moving to Calgary in 1952. She has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Primary Presidency, the Relief Society as Cultural Arts teacher, and as Dance Director to the Youth. She was employed at the Calgary Real Estate Board for many years and was also co-founder of Carter Dance Academy and Ballet Arts Centre, with her two daughters, Rosalie and Beverly. Myrtle will be sadly missed by her husband, family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100 Sunpark Drive S.E., on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Bruce Hudson conducting.
