Myrtis Sapp Carter, 79, of Homosassa, FL, passed away May 28, 2010, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. She was born on March 7, 1931, to Carl and Beulah (Smith) Sapp in Leesburg, FL. She was a self-employed beautician for most of her life and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and all manner of wildlife.Myrtis was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Griffin. She is survived by her husband, Dan Carter of Homosassa, FL; children, Donna Carter of Phoenix, AZ, Diane Rowell of Homosassa, FL, and Casey Carter of Atlanta, GA; siblings, May Beckelheimer of Trenton, FL, Jean Ash of Homosassa, FL, Madeline O'Dell of Atlanta, FL, Ruben Sapp of Newberry, FL, and Henry Sapp of Archer, FL; as well as one grandson, Eric Rowell.Visitation for Myrtis will be on Monday, May 31, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. with a service at 4 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto, FL, with private cremation to follow.
