SMITH, MYRA Myra Smith of Morris, Al passed away on July 22, 2013. Survivors include Gary L. Smith, husband of 45 years; son Billy (Jami) Smith and granddaughter Sarah of Pleasant Grove; son Bobby Smith (Yamilet Romero Gonzalez) of Seattle, WA; sisters Dorothea (Tony) Wynn of Morris; Anita (Hank) Graves of Hayden; brother Tommy R. Guthrie Jr of Bham. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Smith was retired from Jefferson County Board of Education. She taught for over 35 years. She received a Masters of Education from UAB. Mrs. Smith was a member of Haig Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 12:00-2:00pm. Service will follow at 2:00pm in The New Gardendale Funeral Home Chapel. Burial at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery in Pinson.
