MURIEL LAURA THESENVITZ Muriel Laura Thesenvitz, of 851 Colonization Rd. W., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away June 21, 1998 at La Verendrye General Hospital. Muriel was born July 28, 1912 in Spooner, Mn. and came to Canada as a young child. She was united in marriage to Carl Thesenvitz on April 7, 1934. She was employed at Rainycrest Home for the Aged, retiring in 1975, and she was a member of Knox United Church. An avid bowler, she won many trophies over the years. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially the birds, animals, and gardening, and took special pleasure in her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl; her parents, Warren and Mary Williams; and one brother, Myron Williams. Muriel is survived by six children, Joyce (Roy) Zub, Jeanne (Robert) Pollard, Garry (Mary) Thesenvitz, Hazel (Walter) Strain, Dayton (Doris) Thesenvitz, and Lorraine (John) Ponse; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; her brother, Ellis (Jeanine) Williams; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Williams, Laura Jewett, and Dorothy Brannan; brother-in-law, Wesley (Peggy) Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. at Knox United Church, with Rev. Patrick Playfair officiating. Visitation will be held at the church prior to the service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be at the North Branch Cemetery at 2 p.m. The pallbearers will be her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, C.N.I.B., or a charity of your choice.
