LINCOLN - Graveside service for Mrs. Virginia Searcy Smith, 72, will be Wednesday, April 8, 11 a.m. at Pine Hill Memorial Park with Dr. Stanley Jett officiating. Mrs. Smith died Sunday, April 5, 2009 in Talladega. She retired from Palm Beach after 20 years of service and was a member of the Baptist faith. Survivors are her husband of 49 years, Edward Smith of Lincoln; son, James Edward "Chip" Smith of Lincoln; sisters, Brenda Hill of Sylacauga and Violet Patterson of Bay St. Louis, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, from 5-7 p.m. Pallbearers are Richard Patterson, Kenneth Johns, Robbie Kirk, Barney Gary, Dick Pettus, Brent Cowles. Honorary pallbearers are Winston Wills and Charles Fricke. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.
