STEELE - Funeral service for Ruth Eloise Hyatt, 82, was Monday, Jan. 19, at 1 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Jamie Beard officiated. Burial was in Cave Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Hyatt died Jan. 17, 2009. Mrs. Hyatt was a lifelong resident of Chandler Mountain in St. Clair County. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.T. Hyatt. Survivors are a daughter, Kathy (Bobby) Carden of Ashville; son, Phillip (Mary) Hyatt of Steele; sister, Billie June (J.M.) Barnes of Steele; grandchildren, Tara (Joseph) Glass of Steele, Jenna (Rich) Hull of Ashville, Phillip J. Hyatt of Woodstock, Ga., Jeremy Wood of Pelham; and great grandchildren, Miranda Glass, Logan Glass both of Steele, and Devin Hull of Ashville. Special thanks to Healthcare in Whitney, Ala., staff and doctors SV East and Odyssey Hospice. Pallbearers were Joseph Glass, Rich Hull, Jeremy Wood, Hollen Crim Jr., Phillip J. Hyatt and Tim Bennett. Honorary pallbearers were Devin Hull and Logan Glass. Morgan Funeral Chapel directed.
