TALLADEGA - Funeral services for Mrs. Rogers Louise Cooper, 88, will be Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 1 p.m. at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny McKinney officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She died Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 in Citizen's B.M.C. A Talladega native, lived in Detroit, Michigan for 40 years, member of the New True Vine Baptist Church, moved to Talladega in 1982 united with the Rocky Mount Baptist Church, serving as Deaconess, member of Senior Choir, Volunteer for Samaritan House. Survivors are two sisters, Mary Frances Orr of Talladega and Annie Pearl Coleman of Birmingham; brother, Eugene Fields of Birmingham; two stepsons, William Riggins of Detroit, Michigan, Alfred Riggins of South Carolina; stepdaughter, Zora Ellis Florence of Detroit, Michigan; five step grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Deacons will serve as pallbearers. Sims Funeral Service will direct.
