Richmond HillMrs. Peggy A. Bennett, 73, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at Hospice Savannah after a lengthy illness.Mrs. Bennett was born in Sanford, N.C., and lived in Richmond Hill most of her life. She was a member of the New Life Worship Center. She was a beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed.She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald "Ronnie" Powers, and a great-grandson, Andrew Powell.She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Don Bennett of Richmond Hill; three daughters, Vanessa Miller (Melvin) of Richmond Hill, Rhonda Folts (Timothy) of Monroe, Ga., and Kim Carr (Erik) of Loganville, Ga.; one son, Tony Bennett (Debbi) of Ijamsville, Md.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Teresa Love of Sanford, N.C.; and a brother, Billy Ashley of Sanford, N.C.The funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday at the Richmond Hill Funeral Home, Cox Chapel, in Richmond Hill with the Rev. Roy Ogden officiating. Pallbearers are Reggie Miller, Aaron Powers, Keith Marin, T. J. Folts, Edward Carr and Sam Bailey. Burial will take place at Burnt Church Cemetery in Richmond Hill.Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Remembrances may be made to Nancy N. & J.C.
