LINCOLN — Funeral services for Mrs. Patricia I. "Pat" Pierce, who passed away December 8, 2008, will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Wayne Dunaway will officiate. Her family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. Miller Funeral Home and Crematory will direct. Mrs. Pierce was born in Kennedy, Alabama. She met her husband when they were both in the Navy. They traveled to many places. For the past 36 years they have lived in Lincoln. She was a 20 year retired school bus driver for the Ohatchee School System. To say she was an avid Elvis fan would be an understatement. She is now gone to be with her Lord. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lena Cline; son, Paul and grandchildren, Krysta and Alex Mann. Mrs. Pierce is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, James T. "Jim" Pierce; her children, Jimmy and wife, Mary Pierce, John L. Pierce and Brenda and husband, Rick Mann; brothers, Mike Cline and Thaxton Cline; sisters, Thresa Crawley, Anita Cooper, Betty Belk; 10 grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
