STATESBORO, Ga. - Mrs. Mary L. Polk, age 71, passed into rest Sunday, July 31, 2011, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, Ga. She was a Bulloch County native and a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Polk leaves memories to be cherished by two sons, Robert Lee Polk Jr., Atlanta, Ga., and Leroy Polk, Statesboro, Ga.; a daughter, Zena Moran, Statesboro, Ga.; two grandchildren, Jasmine and Brandon Moran, both of Statesboro, Ga.; three sisters, Missouri Murray and Minnie Pearl Everett, both of Statesboro, Ga., and Christine Porter, Nevils, Ga.; a brother, Clinton Wilson, Statesboro, Ga.; one aunt, Minnie Robertson; one brother-in-law, two sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Hill's Mortuary, Inc. The funeral service for Mrs. Polk will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2011, at the St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Timotheus Mincey officiating.
