WESTSIDE COMMUNITY - Mrs. Mary Evelyn Williams Anderson, age 97, died on Friday August 19, 2011 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. The native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County was a graduate of Statesboro High School and Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. Mrs. Mary Evelyn married J.W. (Bill) Anderson in 1937 and resided in the Westside Community and was a homemaker. She was a member in the Westside Home Demonstration Club and the Statesboro Riding Club. Mrs. Anderson attended the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband J.W. (Bill) Anderson. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law; James W. (Jim) and Lee Anderson of Statesboro; a granddaughter Edie Olliff of Statesboro; two great grandchildren Mary Lee Olliff and Lanier Olliff of Statesboro. The visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. The graveside funeral service and burial will be on Monday at 10:30 at Lower Lotts Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Jack Anderson officiating.
