GENEVA - Helen P. Toher, 87, of Bay View Terrace, passed away on Wednesday (July 21, 2010) in Clifton Springs Nursing Home.There will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday (July 23) in St. Stephen's Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes Community Lunch Program, 94 Exchange St., Geneva, 14456.Mrs. Toher was born in Brooklyn and resided in Westboro, Mass. for many years before moving to Geneva. She was the daughter of the late Theodore and Isabelle Ligouri Timper.The family would like to thank the staff at Clifton Springs Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Helen and our family.She is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife, Joyce; her daughter, Elizabeth Hudson and her husband, Richard I. Hudson, all of Geneva; and her grandson, Richard T. Hudson and his wife, Angelique of Huntersville, NC.She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent P. Toher; and her brothers, Theodore and Robert Timper.Arrangements have been entrusted to the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home.
