Mrs. Edith Christine Brown Hall, 92, of Metter, died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Eagle Rehabilitation in Statesboro, under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was the daughter of the late Emmitt Crawford Brown and the late Minnie Lee Lanier Brown. The lifelong resident of Candler County was a homemaker and a retail clerk at several local stores. Christine was a member of the Metter Primitive Baptist Church and the Marion Agan Circle. She was a wonderful grandmother, who enjoyed baking for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, J.G. Hall Jr.; four brothers, Hughlon, Clinton, E.C. and Harold Brown; and a grandson, John Rhoney Sr. Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and David Rhoney of Metter and Linda and Jerry Hagins of Statesboro; five grandchildren, Christie R. Miller, Sidney Rhoney, Melinda R. Cannady, Michelle H. Marion and Lisa H. Hill; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. The funeral service for Mrs. Hall will be conducted Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Metter Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Sheldon Mikell and the Rev. Floyd Harrison officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeff Miller, John Rhoney Jr., Sidney Rhoney, Rob Cannady, Al Hill and Blake Usry.
