TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Mrs. Daisy Allen, 76, will be Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. at Usrey Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Andy Mims officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Allen died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Trinity Hospital, Birmingham. She was a native of Sycamore and lived most of her life in Talladega, a long time member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and Retired from Bemiston Cotton Mill. She was a devoted wife, mother and grannie. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Johnson; brothers, Earl Hill, Melvin Hill, and Ed Hill; mother, Sadie Hill; and father, Charlie Hill. Survivors are her husband, Roland Allen of Talladega; daughters, Melita Davis (Howard) of Talladega and Venessa Babb (Warren Madden) of Sylacauga; sisters, Sue Maxwell and Faye Moore both of Sylacauga; brothers, Gene Hill and Joe Hill both of Sylacauga; five grandchildren, Kim Nobles (Bobby) of Port St. Joe, Fla., Mark Davis (Amber) of Talladega, Allen Davis (Stephanie) of Port. St. Joe, Fla., Robert Johnson of Talladega, Angeal Falkner (Jason) of Talladega; 11 great-grandchildren, Katie, Austin, Rainey, Samantha, Anna, Grayce, AJ, Ava, Zack, Jayden, Johnathan; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Penny March Fund. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.
