Mrs. Carrie Lee Smith, age 65, of Pembroke, Ga., passed into eternal rest on Wednesday evening after an extended illness at Memorial Health University Medical Center. She was a Bryan County native and a member of Holy Ground Tabernacle Outreach Ministries of Claxton, Ga. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Nathaniel Smith of Pembroke, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Michelle Slater Griffin, Mrs. Sabrina Hannah and Mrs. Trenda Edwards, all of Pembroke, Ga.; three sons, Mr. Anthony Slater and Eric Smith, both of Pembroke, Ga., and Mr. Frankie Slater of Valdosta, Ga.; five sisters, Mrs. Rosa Lee (D.C.) Kennedy, Mrs. Dorothy Smalls and Mrs. Almarita (Robert) Jones, all of Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Susan (Eddie) Johnson of Pembroke, Ga., and Mrs. Debra Simon of Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, Mr. Dennis Crawford and Mr. Tommy Lee Crawford, both of Savannah, Ga., and Mr. David (Michelle) Crawford of Philadelphia, Pa.; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Smith will be Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Groveland, Ga., with Apostle Chersterlyn Brooks as eulogist. Interment will be in Boyd's Temple Church Cemetery, Ellabell, Ga. Viewing will be Friday, March 19, 2010, from 1-8 p.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home, Pembroke Chapel. Craig R.
