OXFORD – Mrs. Barbara Jean Nix-Wright, 42, died Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Trinity Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Talladega Funeral Home Saturday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Talladega Funeral Home with burial following at Pine Hill. She was born and raised in Talladega, and has lived in Oxford the past 10 years. She was affectionately known as "Maw-Maw" to four grandchildren. She will be loved and missed by many family and friends. Mrs. Nix-Wright is survived by her husband Lance Wright, son Bart Elliott and Heather, two daughters Amanda Caples and Michelle Luker and Kyle, brothers Richard Williams, Johnny Williams and Angel and Billy Williams, sisters Jane Drummond and Mike, and Janice Bullard and Billy, and grandchildren Gracie Elliott, Brayden Elliott, Ana Luker, and Rylee Nix. She is preceded in death by her father John Williams, sister Nina and brother Roger. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
