TALLADEGA - Funeral service for Mrs. Annette McCostlin Smith, 75, will be Sunday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. at Winterboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Simic officiating. Burial will be in Winterboro Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Smith died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at Trinity Hospital, Birmingham. She was a native of Tallapoosa Co. but lived most of her life in Talladega Co., a member of Winterboro Baptist Church, and worked as lunchroom manager at Winterboro High School and later retired from Talladega High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Smith; and daughter, Nancy Carol Smith. Survivors are a daughter, Jennifer Milstead (Jimmy) of Winterboro; son, David Smith of Winterboro; sisters, Violet Cross of Moulton and Gean Seipman of Yakmia, Wash.; three grandchildren, Marsha Shane Milstead, Jason M. Smith, and Kimberly Ann Gaither; five great-grandchildren, Savana Rae Gaither, Payton Mathew Gaither, Shelby Kay Gaither, Houston Lane Smith, and Caroline Grace Smith. Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 17, from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers are Ray Townsend, Rick Seipman, Shane Smith, Kevin Norris, Tom Munz, Paul Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Reneau, Bryan Norris, Fancher Norris, Dewayne Smith, and Larry Ferguson. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Winterboro Baptist Church. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the service.
