Anne H. Williams of Ormond Beach passed away Tuesday January 6, 2015. She was a 5th generation native Floridian born to James and Elizabeth Hair of Lake City, Florida on September 21, 1944. Anne graduated from Columbia High School in 1962 and Florida State University in 1966. In 1966 she became a flight attendant for Delta Airlines living in Chicago and Atlanta. During this time she developed a love for seeing the world. Working in the travel industry she visited as many countries as she could on all 7 continents with her good friends, Susan Robinson, Mary Brown Whitehurst and Miriam Terry Collier. In 1967 she married Gerald Williams and settled in Ormond Beach where her two children were born and raised. When retirement became a reality she and her husband built a house in Idaho on the western side of the Tetons where she spent her summers. During the last five years of fighting cancer and surviving, she considered everyday a blessing. She and her family want to thank her friends and doctors for all their prayers and support. Without them those 5 years would not have been possible. In that time she had seen both her children get married and start their own families. Her grandchildren Logan, Ashton, and Tilly were the joy in her heart. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; son and daughter-in-law, Geran and Kim Williams of Ormond Beach; daughter and son-in-law, Geri and Zach Hinkle of Brooklyn, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to the Humane Society of your choice.
