Avis de décès de Mr. -Wallace-Lee Carter


Mr. Wallace Lee "Jack" Carter, 75, died on Saturday, March 8, at his brother's home in Liberty County after an extended illness. He was a native of Bryan County but had lived in Savannah most of his life. He was retired from the Savannah Fire Department and had worked at WTOC TV for many years. He was an emeritus member of the Richard T. Turner Lodge 116 F.&A.M. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Craft Carter, and his parents, Gladys Ella Lee Carter Harvey and Dan Edward Harvey. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James T. "Jimmy" and Annette Carter of Hinesville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carrie Holt, Liz Flynn, Sandra Williams, Joey Hartwell and Doug Weathers. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home West Chatham Chapel. A private graveside funeral will be held Wednesday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, remembrances be given to the Masonic Home in Macon at 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211. Friends may sign the online register book at www.stricklandandsonsfuneralhome.com. Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home West Chatham Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
