TALLADEGA - A celebration of the Life of Thomas Edwin Smith, 59, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Allen Arnold officiating. Mr. Smith died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at University of Alabama Hospital. He was educated in the Talladega Public School System, was a member of Southside Baptist Church, was employed by the Dept. of Transportation, Anniston Army Depot, and Covenant Transportation System, and was a well-known DJ. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Smith; brothers, Willie James Smith and Ralph Smith; and sister, Gloria Virginia Smith. Survivors are his mother, Gloria Penn Smith of Talladega; brothers, Robert L. Smith of Talladega and Andrew Smith of West Palm Beach, Fla. Terry's Metropolitan Mortuary will direct the services.
