Mr. Terry Allen Smith, age 59, entered into eternal rest March 28, 2007, surrounded by his family. He was a native of Tattnall County and Statesboro was his home for the past 20 years. Terry loved and cherished his family. He also loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, admiring all of God's creation. He was the owner and operator of Profile Pest Control Company. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Allen "Kip" and Geraldine Waters Smith. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Sherry Fail Smith; one son and future daughter-in-law, Brandon Smith and Angie Fritts of Lilburn; one daughter, Brittny Smith of Athens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil and Sue Smith of Derry, N.H., and Ken and Josena Smith of Hazlehurst; four nephews, Kelly and Kris Smith of Derry, N.H., Wood and Cason Smith of Hazlehurst; one niece, Kerry Ann Smith of Derry, N.H.; one uncle and aunt, Phillip and Nina Smith of Shellman's Bluff. Terry's extended family included his mother-in-law, Jean Fail; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, Osey, Therman and Johnnie Ann Fail; and four nieces, Krystal and Kaci Fail and Katie and Kayla Alberson of Statesboro. The family will receive visitors at the Friendship Baptist Church social hall Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 7 p.m. in the prayer garden.
